The Maximillian Maquette is an original Walt Disney Studio maquette from Disney's 1979 Sci-fi feature "The Black Hole." This is a 1/4 scale maquette (close to 20"/51cm tall) by the Art Department produced as reference study model for paint and proportional considerations prior to building the full-size versions. It was produced in fiberglass from the original sculpt by Disney Imagineering designer George McGinnis.

McGinnis designed all the robots for the film. This maquette was also a former museum piece with the flyers from the exhibit included. The piece is in good condition with some slight cracking to the paint. The head, a separately cast piece, is currently loose, though it could be re-glued to the body.
