Fright Night (2011)
"Evil" Ed Lee's (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) SFX Bleeding Arm Rig

This is “Evil” Ed Lee (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) SFX bleeding arm rig from 2011 version of the classic vampire horror flick Fright Night. This special effects piece was used towards the end of the film as Ed (now a vampire) shows up, posing as a package delivery boy, at Peter's (David Tennant) house. At the site of Ed, Peter runs into his panic room slamming the door closed on Ed's arm - severing it right off!
The detailed arm piece is made out of silicone with a foam filled interior. The silicone arm is attached to a piece of nude spandex fabric, which is attached a white T-shirt, making it easy for the actor to wear. Additionally, a small plastic tube runs through the interior of the arm, which was utilized during filming to pump the fake blood to the severed area, completing the special effect. The shirt and arm stump still feature a moderate amount of dried fake blood from the production but overall remain in good condition.
