Alien Warrior Head With Removable Back Section

This is an Alien special effects Warrior head used in the 2004 sci-fi film Alien vs. Predator. The head can be seen prominently toward the end of the film and was made specifically for the shot when Alexa Woods (Sanaa Lathan) stabs a Warrior in the face with a large metal stake-tipped weapon, blowing the back of the head off in the process. This effect was accomplished by filling the back of the head with Alien blood and guts, then blowing the rear section using compressed air.
The black and silver head features the instantly recognizable Xenomorph long shape and is made of resin with a movable, dense rubber jaw. The top of the eyeless skull is rounded and smooth in texture. Underneath the long, curved dome is an attached straight piece which accentuates the “biomechanical” design of the creature.
The movable, dense rubber bottom jaw has been attached to the top by two thin metal rods which extend into the resin of the upper portion. The bottom jaw as well as the skull’s top each feature numerous, silver-painted sharp teeth, which interlock nicely when together.
Additionally, this piece features a removable back section of the skull, which was designed and used for special effects shots for after this Alien Warrior has been defeated. This separate, hollow back piece is painted black to match with a silver inside and fits together perfectly with the remaining larger part of the skull, which features hardened yellow foam inside, to resemble the Xenomorph’s exposed brains. This head measures approximately 6” x 36” (15cm x 91cm)and has been somewhat production distressed, but remains in very good condition.
This piece will come with a signed letter of authenticity from Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc. co-founders Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff, Jr.
