Predator
Animatronic Predator Costume Backpack

This is an original functional animatronic Predator (Kevin Peter Hall) costume backpack, complete with the working shoulder cannon. This costume prop was built by Stan Winston Studios and worn in the original Predator film, directed by John McTiernan.
The piece is made from fiberglass and resin, with foam padding and straps to allow it to attach to the rest of the costume. The cannon unit is powered by small servos and drive belts, and operated by remote control. The electronics of the piece have been restored so it is functional once again. During production, a laser unit was mounted on the outside of the cannon for shots requiring practical lasers, as the lasers available at the time would not fit inside of the cannon. The piece has now been retrofitted with a modern laser unit to simulate the effect.
This item comes with a Prop Store Certificate of Authenticity.
