Billy Crudup Orange Dress

The dress worn by Billy Crudup as Ned Kynaston in the Claire Danes and Rupert Everett movie Stage Beauty. The actor wore this dress in scenes at the beginning of the film where he is dressed as a woman. This fabulous brightly coloured, custom made dress was contrasted by the neutral colours worn by the rest of the cast. This is mentioned in the commentary on the DVD and was purposely done to make the dress seem overtly vibrant. The dress is made from slightly shiny fabric with cream coloured material around the collar and the sleeves, which has small diamantes scattered on it. The front of the dress and the collar have gold and faux jewel decorations on them. The back of the dress laces up and there is a corseted undergarment padded with fake bosoms. No sizes marked.
