Running Man, The
Buzzsaw (Gus Rethwisch) Costume

This a costume worn by Buzzsaw (Gus Rethwisch) in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1987 classic The Running Man. The Running Man is a government funded game show in which convicted criminals fight for their lives trying to evade the “stalkers” and certain death for a chance to be pardoned and set free. Buzzsaw is a crowd favorite "stalker" who can be seen wearing this outfit throughout his time in the game.
The costume is made up of a pair of black, nylon pants, black tank top and a black, mesh shirt. Additionally, the costume includes a pair of black leather gloves, black rubber boots (size 12), as well as a custom-made black and silver, rubber belt which has been detailed with the characters name, "Buzzsaw" across the front.
The majority of the costume has no marked size, but features the production markings, "Running Man, Buzzsaw, Gus Rethwisch" written on the the inside tag of the pants. The entire costume is in good condition with wear due to use in production and fight sequences (see photos).
