Departed, The
Colin Sullivan's (Matt Damon) Hero Pistol

This is the SIG-Sauer p226 used by Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon) in Martin Scorsese's 2006 crime thriller The Departed. When Sullivan (Damon) approaches a wounded Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson) as he's dying in the bucket of a tractor, Costello tries to shoot at Sullivan; but Sullivan is too quick and kills Costello with this gun. The gun is a standard issue SIG-Sauer p226 handgun without any custom modifications. While no longer capable of firing live ammunition, this item is still a firearm and must be transferred to your local firearms dealer where you will be required to go through the paperwork process as you would when purchasing any other firearm. The item is available for export to the UK after deactivation at an additional cost. Please inquire for details. The pistol includes rental paperwork that identifies it by serial number and lists the dates it was rented to the production. This piece is in excellent condition.
*note: This item is on loan to the NRA museum in Fairfax, VA until late 2010.
