Batman
Early Pencil And Ink Storyboard - Stricken Batmobile Countdown
Stock # 24882
An early production made storyboard from the 1989 Tim Burton classic Batman. This storyboard is an early version in which the Batmobile is drawn in the old television show style, before the radically different design was decided upon. There are two pen and pencil drawings on the A4 page which are of Ace (later Axis) Chemical Factory scenes which show the Batmobile under attack from the Joker's mob, switching to a shot of the car's countdown to the gigantic explosion that wipes out the entire factory – a shot that was altered in conjunction with the new design and protective 'shell'. Below each image is a brief description of the action and a shot number (theses are A31 and A32, page 16), along with the Batman logo at the top and the inspired description of “batboards”. The pages is still in excellent condition and comes presented in a custom built display with laser cut mount board incorporating the iconic movie logo. The gothic frame measures 33cm x 58cm (13" x 23").
This item comes with a Prop Store Certificate of Authenticity.
