Tales Of The Riverbank
Hammy The Hamster Arm

Hammy's arm from the 2008 British family adventure Tales of the Riverbank. The heart warming live action movie is populated entirely by puppets and follows the tale of Hammy the Hamster, Roderick the Rat and GP the Guinea Pig in their quest to stop the Fat Cats destroying their beloved Riverbank with the Big Dirt. This little piece was used whenever a closeup of Hammy's hand was required or his paws had to perform a complex action. The furry foam lower arm is fixed to a solid metal rod and wired up in the fingers to several steel cables that run down to a hinged joint by the handle that when pulled cause the tiny fingers to grip or release. The entire contraption measures 46cm (18”) long and is still in superb condition.
