Alien vs. Predator

Hero Mechanical Facehugger

Stock # 22273

This is a hero mechanical facehugger with attached servos from the 2004 Science Fiction film Alien vs. Predator.

The heavily detailed facehugger is made of foam rubber and features eight legs, a wide body base, as well as a long ribbed tail. The legs, shaped like lengthy fingers, have a skeletal design and each have two joints where the legs can be bent easily for positioning as well as small, pointed resin claws at the tips. The body and legs have a solid interior endoskeleton under the foam rubber, making the piece sturdier. The tail is made completely of foam latex and can be manipulated easily in numerous different positions.

This particular facehugger is mounted by one small metal pole on a wooden stand and is connected to numerous servos by small metal cables which when connected to controls, allowed the facehugger legs and tail to be controlled electronically for the film. The many wires included are labeled, identifying which particular piece they are connected to at the electronic base which is also labeled accordingly.

The entire piece measures approximately 13’ x 15” x 17” (33cm x 48cm x 43cm) and has some very light cracking of the foam at the leg joints, but overall remains in very good condition.

This piece will come with a signed letter of authenticity from Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc. co-founders Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff, Jr.

This item comes with a Prop Store Certificate of Authenticity.
