Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country
Klingon Officer's Costume
Stock # 23490
This is an original Klingon officer's costume which was worn by several different actors throughout various Trek films and series. The costume consists of a tunic with shoulder cover and detachable neckpiece, gray uniform pants, belt with Klingon belt buckle, one arm gauntlet, and a pair of Klingon boots.
The costume's tunic and accessories were originally created for Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, and was worn by Jim Boeke who played Klingon General #1, as well as various actors who play background Klingons (Clay Hodges and Joe Durrenburger).
The tunic is crafted from gray vinyl, patterned to resemble armor, with black faux fur sleeves with black elastic at the cuffs, and has a Paramount wardrobe tag that reads: “Star Trek VI, Klingon Officer”. Supplementing the tunic is a single black leather gauntlet with velcro closures and three black rubber rings around the exterior, as well as a black leather collar with Klingon insignias, velcro closure, and a production tag inside labeled “Jim Boeke”. The shoulder cover, which has been sewn to the collar, matches the tunic and features velcro closures as well as a magnetic metal clip, a small metal chain/leather strap attached, and has two names labeled inside: “Joe Durrenberger” and “Clay Hodges”. The tunic has a handwritten interior label that reads: "17A".
Continuing downward, the black leather belt, which is fastened together by velcro as well as black tape, features the signature Klingon-style belt buckle made of hardened rubber and painted gold with the five raised round accents on front. The gray pants are theme park walkaround pants, used by Klingons in "Star Trek Adventures" at Paramount Theme Parks, and were not believed to have been used in any Star Trek movies or shows. They are the standard Klingon style of pants, very similar to those seen in the films and shows. The pants are identified by their Paramount Parks label with the name “Rico” on it. They also feature black elastic suspenders attached to the waistline and elastic at the ankle openings for an extra secure costume fit.
Completing this most impressive Officer's uniform are the unmistakable Klingon knee-high boots, featuring the horn, the silver “metal” accents and the split toe at the bottom. The raised pull-on boots also each have a zipper closure on one side. The boots each have three labels inside: “Danger”, “Eric Stabenau”, and “Robert Harden”.
This amazing costume features some wear due to production use and storage, and although no holster and no arm emblem are included it remains in overall good condition.
