Large VFX Atmosphere Processing Station Photo Englargement

A Large Scale visual effects photo enlargement of the Atmosphere Processing Station from the classic James Cameron sci-fi movie Aliens. This giant image was created during production from a photograph of one of the scaled APS miniatures whilst built and settled on the sound stage (complete with coiled cables and the studio floor) and allowed the production to visualise and figure to logistics of setting up each shot without having to be with the actual set the whole time, and it has been outlined in places and annotated in pencil detailing the rear sections as photo cut-outs. A great behind the scenes image shows a wider shot having been annotated in a similar way, and these kinds of pieces were all used together to create the incredible visual effects seen on screen, either through three dimensional miniatures, photo cut outs or matt paintings. The photo is printed on thick Kodak photo paper and measures a massive 104cm x 81cm (41” x 32”), and is still in excellent condition.
