Length of Knotted Rope

A length of rope used in the 2005 Terry Gilliam fantasy movie The Brothers Grimm. Long and useful sections of rope can be seen being used by the illusionist brothers Will and Jacob, and the characters they encounter along the road, for uses ranging from tying up rogue ladies or climbing a tall tower to see the bewitching Lady of the Mirror. Made from a combination of natural and synthetic materials it has a large frayed knot at one end. It is in an intentionally distressed condition with evidence of use on set, measuring several metres long. A very practical prop from the movie!
