Luftwaffe General Korten’s Jacket And Trousers

Luftwaffe General Korten’s destroyed jacket and trousers used in the 2008 WWII thriller Valkyrie. The General's uniform was used in Hitler’s legendary ‘Wolfs Lair’ when Stauffenberg’s (Tom Cruise) briefcase bomb is detonated, blowing apart the unprotected war room and all those inside it. The dark blue jacket has cream shoulder boards embellished with gold and silver braiding, matching style collar tabs with and emblem of three eagles swooping through a garland, flying Panzer emblem in gold above the right chest pocket and round metal buttons and marked inside “Korten”. The trousers have a dual white and single pinstripe line running down each leg, both these and the jacket are in an intentionally production distressed state with cuts, shrapnel and dirty applied throughout. A great costume from the dramatic turning point of the movie.
