Model Miniature Truck From The Ride

This is the model miniature Da-Var truck from the film used in Back to the Future: The Ride at Universal Studios. In this late amusement park ride, the audience chases Biff through time. When they first arrive in 2015 Hill Dale, a Da-Var truck comes around a corner, narrowly missing the audience. This is the model miniature used for that shot.
This light blue truck is cast in fiberglass and fully fitted with a custom fiber optic lighting system (currently non functional). The entire vehicle is custom and scratch built, down to the exhaust system. On the underside, the mechanics which once controlled the lighting system are visible, covered by a wood plank for support. In red letters on the side of the truck are the Da-Var logo, and the words “Hi-Fiber Glucose Products.”
The truck sustained a small crack along one side during shipping to us, which has been expertly repaired and paint-blended (so as not to repaint the whole piece), and is no longer visible. The truck measures 30” x 14” x 8” (76 x 36 x 20cm). This is a great collector’s piece for any BTTF fan.
