Eagle, The
Ninth Legion Shield

A Ninth Legion Shield used in the Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell Roman action movie The Eagle. Towards the end of the movie the few lost and surviving members of the legendary Ninth Legion unite to defend the Eagle one last time using shields such as this against the Seal people. The fibreglass shield is painted black with metal silver wings, “ Leg IX” emblems, edging and circular boss, painted red at the back with a fibreglass handle to look like wood. It is in a very well used and intentionally production distressed condition from its use on set but still an impressive looking Roman prop, measuring 102cm x 74cm (40” x 29”). Please note the distressing on the shield you receive may differ slightly to the version shown.
