Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Original Animation Cell - Eddie Smooches Roger

Stock # 22997

A rare animation cell used in the Bob Hoskins classic Who Framed Roger Rabbit, the pioneering film which combined animation with live action to create an outstanding movie. The cell consists of two layers that combine to make a great image, starting with a black and white background shot of Eddie Valiant (Bob Hoskins) with puckered lips which syncs up perfectly with a clear sheet that features a very awkward looking Roger painted on with a smooshed up face and on the receiving end of the kiss! These great pieces are made on specially created animation acetate and thick card, with rectangular and round holes across the bottom edge to ensure absolutely no slippage during the animation, and have each been labelled for their relevant scene and layer. Incredibly the top cell has a white “Walt Disney Company Certified” stamp top right dictating its provenance. A stunning pair from this groundbreaking movie and a hilarious scene.
