Original Prototype Translucent Xenomorph Suit

An incredible prototype Alien suit created for Ridley Scott's 1979 sci-fi classic Alien. The bio-mechanical Xenomorph creature could possibly be one of the most iconic and recognisable monsters ever created, and was a subject that spawned three direct sequels, spin-offs and a prequel, becoming a legend in movie history.
This stunning suit was created during pre-production as was one of the first (if not the first) suits to be struck from the original Alien sculpted by Giger. One of their original concepts for the creature was to be almost albino and able to see the eerie internal workings of the body, but the special translucent material was particularly rigid and proved to be too inflexible for the film's requirements and the concept was scrapped in favour of the opaque skin creating the dark, mysterious 'barely seen' look.
Crafted from a special latex, the translucent 'skin' retains all of the classic bio-mechanical features, it consists of a torso, left arm and hand as well as a pair of 'legs' and solid translucent resin head. Due to the sheer age of the suit it has begun to display signs of deterioration showing cracks and missing small sections that have become detached over the years. To ensure maximum longevity the Prop Store has had the suit professional treated and placed over to a perfectly fitted display model using a combination of special adhesive and cream latex, which will all help support the wonderful suit yet allow it to command a presence in any collection.
The display stands on a bespoke base the incorporates the memorable movie title, and the overall ensemble measures over 2m (79“) tall, by approximately 53cm x 85cm (20“ x “33.5). This incredible piece of sci-fi history came from the personal collection of line manage Ivor Powell and would be perfect for any Alien or sci-fi horror collector. Due to it's delicate condition and size a specialist shipping service will be required - customers would request a quote before ordering.
