Unknown Production
Original Syd Cain Watercolour Artwork
Stock # 23208
A piece of original artwork created by the incredibly talented production designer Syd Cain. The legendary artist is responsible for some of the designs for classic movies such as Alfred Hitchcock's Frenzy, and is thought to have devised the memorable stabbing shoe worn by Rosa Klebb (Lotte Lenya) in From Russia with Love. This particular piece is from an unknown production but carries Syd's distinctive trademark watercolour style. The black and white piece is drawn and painted with watercolours on a piece of thick paper and shows a cabin set with mezzanine level, low windows, curtain partition with wheelchair and stove in the centre. The page itself has yellowing glue residue around the edges and pin holes in the corners from being displayed previously but is still in otherwise fantastic condition measuring 50cm x 40cm (19.75” x 15.75”).
This item comes with a Prop Store Certificate of Authenticity.
