Philotas' (Joseph Morgan) Helmet

Philotas’ (Joseph Morgan) Helmet worn in the Colin Farrell, Anthony Hopkins and Angelina Jolie movie Alexander. This piece was worn by the companion to Alexander himself early in the movie during the first epic battle against Darius. The helmet is made from durable vinyl sprayed a dull bronze colour to appear as though battle worn and aged, and features a distinct raised pattern resembling two feathers on the forehead and a swirl either side, it has an impressive black and white faux horsehair plume with matching tail and two face guards attached with a section of thick leather. It also appears that due to the character’s brief role, once his scenes were filmed his helmet was reused for another character called dubbed ‘Polyperchon’. A remarkable piece from the movie with evidence of much use on set. Measures approximately 38cm (15”) tall, 35cm (13.75”) long and 19cm (7.5”) wide.
