Serpent and the Rainbow, The
Production Made Lucien Celine (Paul Winfield) SFX Head
Stock # 23770
This is Lucien Celine (Paul Winfield) sfx head from the 1987 Wes Craven horror picture, The Serpent and The Rainbow. The head was created for the scenes where Lucien pulls off his own head in one of Dennis' (Bill Pullman) recurring visions and nightmares.
The bust is made out of urethane over a foam core and has been painted and detailed to appear as if it were the real actor. The head features a patchy head of black curly hair, as well as eyebrows and mustache. Although, this particular head is not seen in the final cut of the film, it was used during filming and still features remnants of the hot glue-like material around the jagged severed neck line. Due to production use and age this item displays some areas of wear but overall remains in fair condition. The entire piece measures approximately 9" x 6" x 11" (23cm x 15cm x 28cm.)
