Prop Newspaper Cover

A prop newspaper front cover used in the crime drama film Summer of Sam. This edition of the newspaper can be seen approximately halfway through then film in various scenes, but particularly this is the style of newspaper that Vinny (John Leguizamo) starts to question whether his friend Richie (Adrien Brody) could be responsible for the killings when he sees his friend’s hair drawn on the sketch of the killer. The ‘Daily News’ newspaper front page has the headline “Cops Reshuffle .44-cal Team – Victim gives new description”. The newspaper paper is dated August 10th 1977, and contains features inside regarding the summer heat wave. Measures 37.5cm x 29cm (14.75” x 11.5”)
