A red and black banner from the Ridley Scott crusade movie Kingdom of Heaven. This banner can be seen in the market scenes and is believed to be the only one of this style made as there were hundreds of individual flags made for the film, all of which were different. This particular flag is has a wooden pole with leather thong detail around the middle, and the flag itself is made from black and red strips of nylon and features a resin crescent moon flag top. Once filming was completed the pole was cut in half below the hand grip to enable it to be transported. The longest section of the pole measures 226cm (89”).
