Retractable Lapel Pin Dart Display

A large retractable lapel pin dart used by Sir August De Wynter (Sean Connery) in the 1998 retro revival film The Avengers. This special effects piece would have been used during the surreal scene of a secret meeting attended by multicoloured teddybears, to kill Yellow and Green after a last minute change of heart. Made from silver coloured metal, the specially created prop has two golden feathers either side and the bottom 6cm (2.5”) of the dart retracts up inside to give the illusion of stabbing when met with resistance. The superb gadget from the movie is still fully functioning, and it comes presented in a custom built display with laser cut mount board featuring the movie title and stills. The opening frame measures 41cm x 45cm (16” x 17.75”).
