Hollow Man
Sebastian Caine's (Kevin Bacon) "Clean" Burn Style Cowl
Stock # 22413
This is a Sebastian Caine’s (Kevin Bacon) burn style mask created for the production of the 2000 Paul Verhoeven invisible-man thriller Hollow Man. When an experiment goes horribly awry and scientist Caine (Bacon) becomes permanently invisible, eventually turning him insane and ending with the climactic scene where he is very badly burned. This cowl was created for that scene and is especially designed to be fireproof, but ultimately was never set on fire.
The mask is made of a thick silicone and was created to resemble the original mask worn by Caine earlier in the film. The eyes and mouth feature black silicone which resembles another layer underneath, but is actually one with the rest of the mask. Additionally, the bottom of the cowl exhibits black fabric which extends approximately 2" (5cm) from the base of the silicone.
This recognizable piece comes on a foam bust and measures approximately 17" x 19” (43cm x 48cm). The mask is in very good condition with some light wear from production use. Display stand not included.
This piece will come with a signed letter of authenticity from Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc. co-founders Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff, Jr.
This item comes with a Prop Store Certificate of Authenticity.
