Inglourious Basterds

Stunt Baseball Bat With Roped Scalps Display

Stock # 22046

This is an original stunt baseball bat used by Sgt. Donny Donowitz “The Bear Jew” (Eli Roth) and a set of roped scalps used in Quentin Tarantino’s unique WWII-set film, Inglourious Basterds. The bat can be seen early in the film when we are introduced to The Bear Jew as he uses his trusty bat to savagely kill a Nazi officer while the scalp set can be screen matched to the scalps hanging from Pfc. Hirschberg's (Samm Levine) waist during the same scene.

The bat is made of soft foam with a long, thin rod in the center to make the piece a bit sturdier, but still soft enough for actors to be safely bashed in the head with it. The bat is colored light brown to resemble being made from real wood and has also been crafted to look as though it has been autographed and written on numerous times. The barrel of the bat still features a red tint as this particular section was covered in fake blood for the film. Due to heavy production use, the very tip of the bat had to be reattached using heavy duty glue, but the bat remains in overall good condition.

The scalp set features four different sized foam latex scalps all tied together on a bloody rope. Each of the scalps exhibit matted-down, hand-punched hair, and dried blood making it look eerily real, and are in good condition.

The scalps measure approximately 7" x 6" (18cm x 15cm), with the rope measuring 23" (58cm) in length, the stunt bat measures approximately 33” with the barrel having a width of approximately 3” (8cm). This great collector’s set comes with a custom acrylic display which holds both the bat and the scalps and features a mini poster of the film depicting the bat as well as two screen caps. The display measures 14” x 35” (36cm x 89cm). Payment plan not available for this item.
