Prometheus
Vickers' Apartment Crystal Design Chair

A large crystal shaped chair used in the production of the Ridley Scott mystery sci-fi, Prometheus (2012). These black and white chairs can be seen in Meredith Vickers’ (Charlize Theron) apartment aboard the Prometheus. Four of these elegant pieces are positioned around her main oval dining table next to the bar. When Doctor’s Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and Holloway (Logan-Marshall Green) are first introduced to this area of the ship they stand around these chairs which remain central in the shot.
This wonderful set piece was made by FENDI an Italian designer furniture manufacturer and is very solid and heavy. These chairs usual retail at $3500 approximately. It has a hard metal lower base and a hydraulic rise action using the crystal shaped handle which extends from one side. The highly stylised crystal design adds to the futuristic look of the set and helps create an impression of quality and uniqueness in Vickers’ accommodation. The chair displays some very minor scuffs around the top due to on-set use, however overall remains in very good condition measuring 60cm x 60cm x 80cm (23.5” x 23.5” x 31.5”).
