Vickers Life Pod Wall Panel

A wall panel from Vickers life pod used in Ridley Scott’s Sci-Fi thriller Prometheus. The life pod features in several key scenes throughout the film, most notably when it has been ejected. The wall panel’s purpose in the film is to contain oxygen canisters which Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) gathers after the pod is ejected and she has climbed on board.
The panel is constructed from wood and is painted a clinical white. It has an array of doors and compartments, the largest of the doors has an acrylic front which is hydraulically assisted which adds a futuristic effect. Each shelf and compartments are numbered in grey stickered lettering, the smallest of the doors is also adorned with chevrons. It is backed with a frosted acrylic which helped achieve a unique lighting effect.
This fantastic addition to the Prometheus ship measures at approximately 103cm x 87cm x 20cm (40.5” x 34.25” x 8”). It has some superficial dents in the top corners which likely occurred when the set was deconstructed, however it remains in a very good condition.
