Weyland Corp 'Branded' Mess Tray

A Weyland Corps 'branded' metal tray used in the production of the Ridley Scott sci-fi adventure: Prometheus (2012). This style of 'mess' tray would have been used within the production and can be seen in the background, placed on the coffee table when Janek (Idris Elba) is talking with Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and used to carry meals in the Mess Deck.
The tray is made of brushed aluminium and features a rubber base that interlocks with the tray and forms black rubber stoppers to avoid items sliding around. This gives the piece a futuristic appearance, with each handle displaying a Weyland Corps sticker-decal, one black with faux telephone number, the other white with a red Weyland Corp. logo. Small marks and indentations are present to each corner from use on set and is in good overall condition, measuring 42.5cm x 27.5cm (16.7” x 10.8”).
