Four Feathers, The (2002)

William Trench (Michael Sheen) Distressed Jacket

Stock # 18205

A jacket worn by William Trench (Michael Sheen) in the 2002 movie adaptation of Four Feathers. Trench and the other members of the British Army can be seen wearing this style of jacket throughout the movie, and this particular production disressed version is thought to have been used in the final moments of the Mahji attack on the regiment out in the Sudan. The red woollen jacket has blue cuffs and collar, and features elaborated brass buttons, many of which are sadly missing from the front and the epaulettes. Originally there would have been two insignia pips on the collar, the holes from which are still present. There are two large pockets on the front and the left arm has both a repaired and open rip surrounded by dried prop blood, which also covers a considerable amount of the sleeve. The entire jacket has been purposefully faded for the production to look as though it has spent many months in the desert. Inside is a label from the London costume house Angels which denotes this jacket as “Michael Sheen, Sept 2000”. No size marked.
