Ymir Creature Vintage Casting

This is a Ymir creature casting from the 1957 Sci-Fi classic 20 Million Miles to Earth. In the film, the Ymir creature has come from Venus and begins to terrorize Europe after growing to a gigantic size. This piece was cast from the original stop motion model of the character , which was created and owned by monster legend Ray Harryhausen and is believed to be one of only a few in existence. The vintage casting is made of resin and colored black complete with reptilian scales, spikes starting at the top of the head and running down the spine, as well as the long tail which is split into a fork at the end. This piece measures approximately 12” x 9” x 18” (31cm x 23cm 46cm) and is in very good condition with some slight wear due to age.
