Batman

Hand-Drawn Storyboard - Jack Napier Creeps Out

Stock #67128

A hand-drawn storyboard used in the production of Tim Burton’s superhero action film Batman. As the mayor calls for a cut in crime in advance of Gotham City’s 200th anniversary celebrations, all eyes turn on the masked vigilante Batman (Michael Keaton), leading an undercover war against crime in the city. However, when Batman accidentally knocks mobster Jack Napier (Jack Nicholson) into chemical waste, he creates a deadly threat to the city - The Joker!

Illustrated by Batman storyboard artist David Russell, this storyboard shows Jack Napier as he hides in one of the control rooms of the Axis Chemicals plant early on in the raid - a scene that was ultimately revised for the final cut of the film. The drawing is accomplished in pencils and inks, with a pencil note at the bottom. Sections with the Batman logo and fields for the scene, sequence and date are unfilled.

Displaying only very minor wear from use on the production with minimal pencil transfer, this piece of artwork remains in overall good condition.
