Ministry of Energy petrol coupon book from the production of the dystopian political drama Children of Men (2006). Although this item cannot be seen in the film, the film's protagonist Theo Faron (Clive Owen) is an employee of the Ministry of Energy who would have produced such books for the apocalyptic future Britain.
The book itself features a top coupon detailing that it is for 10 Litres of Fuel, a Ministry of Energy circular crown logo, a silver holographic image stating 'valid' and serial numbers. The rest of the pages are plain as to give the impression that it is a full book. It has transparent plastic covers on both the front and back. It has been bound with staples which have then been covered with black tape.

This is an intrinsically detailed prop piece which although not seen on screen is easily recognisable as being made for the picture. It measures 15cm x 8cm (6" x 3.25") and is in excellent condition.
