Jonathan Preest’s (Ryan Phillipe) complete costume worn in the 2008 fantasy movie Franklyn. One of the most prominent characters in this movie, Jonathan Preest, wears this style of outfit throughout all the scenes set in the alternate universe known only as ‘Meanwhile City’.
The incredible costume consists of a pair of pinstriped trousers and matching black waistcoat, white cotton shirt and long green wax raincoat that features six large metal buttons and a well worn brown leather collar, lapel and pockets with a magnificent iridescent emerald green lining. Finally is the unforgettable white ghost-like mask that is built around a rigid face shaped frame, covered in thick cotton and thoroughly padded inside for the actor’s comfort, laces at the back and includes an attached black silk neckerchief to hide himself entirely and appears to screen match to the Wormsnakes/Bar sequence in Meanwhile City. All the garments are in a production used condition and create a stunning outfit from the movie.
