An NS5 facial appliance used in the Will Smith futuristic action movie I, Robot. This and others like it were used in the scene at the beginning of the movie when Det. Spooner (Will Smith) goes to investigate the apparent suicide of his friend Dr. Alfred Lanning, and is in Lanning’s workshop as part of the NS5 spares. The human-like face is made from translucent acrylic which has been covered in a yellow varnish which has been intentionally scratched off in places to look well used, and has some small chips on the ears. This lifelike piece measures 25cm (10”) tall.
