Lysander's (Joseph Morgan) mask worn in the 2011 fantasy adventure Immortals. The traitorous Hoplite was given this style of mask after his defection to King Hyperion's (Mickey Rourke) army early in the movie, and differs from the usual Heraklion savage by having a much simpler compilation and smaller hood. It is crafted from fibrglass with a sinister skeletal design, there are eye holes and vents below the cheeks and viciously sharp teeth, secured to the wearer's head with a leather patchwork hood.
Interestingly this piece is a rich brown in person but appears red on film - hardly anything appeared 'natural' in the heavily stylised movie achieved by editing and grading post production. They even went so far as to make the blood black in the UK cinematic release to ensure a lower age certificate. It measures approximately 28cm x 17cm x 11cm (11” x 6.75” x 4.25”) and is in great condition, marked “Lysander, 7” inside with silver marker pen.
