A Shatterdome Mechanic (Frank Luo) Costume from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. In the film, a race of monsters, called ‘Kaiju,’ terrorizes earth, forcing mankind to build a team of massive robots, called ‘Jaegers,’ to battle the monsters and save the world. This uniform is worn by a worker in the PPDC Shatterdome. This costume consists of a t-shirt, sweater, jumpsuit, boots, belt, hat, gloves, scarf, and prop pieces.

The tan t-shirt (size large) and grey sweater (size medium) both show light distress and dirt and sweat staining. The jumpsuit (size 50) includes custom markings on the leg, a bar code printed along the back and a patch reading “PPDC” (Pan Pacific Defense Corps) on the left. The suit features heavy distress, including small rips and dark stains on the legs and is also marked for Luo. The black leather boots are labeled size 10 by production. The green work belt and hat both feature labels from production, though only the one on the belt is still legible for Luo. The scarf and gloves complete the costume components. This lot also includes several props including a dummy control pack, epoxy and belt pouch, and a PPDC ID card. All pieces feature wear but remain in good condition.
