Dr. Newton Geiszler’s (Charlie Day) Scene 192 Costume from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. In the film, a race of monsters, called ‘Kaiju,’ terrorizes earth, forcing mankind to build a team of massive robots, called ‘Jaegers,’ to battle the monsters and save the world. The world’s foremost expert on Kaiju, Newt’s fascination leads to an understanding of the monsters’ weakness. This costume features a shirt worn by Newt when he is working with Dr. Gottlieb (Burn Gorman) near the dead Kaiju.

The costume includes a button down shirt and corduroy pants. The slim fit white shirt has been dirtied and bloodied by production to show the events of Newt’s day. Though the tag inside features marking that are now illegible, the lot includes a green production tag that labels the shirt as “Stage 4”, used in scenes 192 to 208B. The blood stain on the shirt has been screen matched to the shirt worn by Day when standing with Dr. Gottlieb in front of the fallen Kaiju.

The corduroy pants also appear dirtied and feature a large tear in the left leg. Tears on the right leg and back of the pants have already been hastily mended by production. Though both pieces feature wear from production they remain in good condition.
