A Jaeger Traffic Control Wand from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. In the film, a race of monsters, called ‘Kaiju,’ terrorize earth, so humans build a team of massive robots, called ‘Jaegers,’ to battle the monsters and save the world. This signal wand was created for the Shatterdome sequence in the beginning of the film, when Hong Kong Shatterdome technicians lead Gipsy Danger out of the hangar.

The wand is made of a light plastic, painted yellow and black, with a rubber grip around the handle. The light covering is made of opaque plastic with a diamond pattern. There is a red plastic covering on the top light, and three small lights on the side: red, green, and yellow. Each side of the wand features a black sticker bearing a yellow PPDC (Pan Pacific Defense Corps) logo. The base of the handle has a wire sticking out of a hole that connects the signal light to a dimmer pack. The dimmer has an on/off/low switch, and two knobs to adjust the color and level of the light. This dimmer is powered by a power cord that can be plugged into a standard outlet. This piece is in very good condition. This piece measures 17” x 4” x 2” ( 43 cm x 10 cm x 5 cm).
