PPDC Dog Tags from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. In the film, a race of monsters, called ‘Kaiju,’ terrorize earth, so humans build a team of massive robots, called ‘Jaegers,’ to battle the monsters and save the world. Strike Troopers and PPDC cadets can be seen wearing dog tags such as these throughout the film.

The dog tags are made of metal that has been punched with the trooper’s name and serial number. One side reads “Shoub, J/ 987 65 4321/ A POS/ PPDC.” The other side of each tag is made of black plastic that features the PPDC printed in silver on each side. Both tags have a rubber edge, and are attached to a ball-chain necklace. This piece shows some wear due to production use and storage but is in overall good condition. Each dog tag measures 2” x 1” (5 cm x 2 cm).
