A PPDC LOC-OP 237 Folder from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. In the film, a race of monsters, called ‘Kaiju,’ terrorizes earth, forcing mankind to build a team of massive robots, called ‘Jaegers,’ to battle the monsters and save the world. This item was created for use in the background of scenes taking place in the Shatterdome and PPDC (Pan Pacific Defense Corps) control rooms.

The folder is made of grey plastic with a window cover and an insert featuring the PPDC eagle logo along with the folder’s designation as a Loccent Station Manual. The few insert pages of the piece are seemingly taken from a communications hand book. The pages and binder have been slightly dirtied to match the overall dank feel of the PPDC environments. Despite this production made distress, the piece remains in good condition. This piece measures 12” x 11” (30 cm x 28 cm).
