A Scavenger (Carl) Costume Lot from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. In the film, a race of monsters known as ‘Kaiju’ terrorizes earth, forcing mankind to build a team of massive robots, called ‘Jaegers,’ to battle the monsters and save the world. Costumes of this style are worn by Hannibal Chau’s black market scavengers who collect the remains of a dead Kaiju in Hong Kong. This lot includes a reversible cap, fabric head wrap, large protective goggles, over shirt, tank top, sweatpants, athletic shorts, leather belt, insulated rubber boots, work gloves, and large utility rig with dual saws.

The scavenger’s button up shirt features three pockets on the front and has been decorated numerous fabric patches that have been crudely stitched over the primary material. The shirt has been production distressed with rough edges and small tears, giving the garment the impression of being worn for years. Worn under the over shirt is a simple tank top that has been similarly distressed with production tears. Worn around the legs are a pair of blue cotton sweatpants and a pair of nylon athletic shorts. Threaded through this is a leather belt with a dual hook closure. The scavenger’s shoes are a pair of long rubber rain boots with foam insulation. Also worn is a reversible cap that has a floral pattern on one side, and alternates with a black leather interior, a head wrap consisting of a fabric bandage, and a pair of protective goggles with an adjustable rubber sizing strap. The scavenger is equipped with a utility rig worn around the back that includes numerous tools and long saws for gathering Kaiju meat.

This lot has been production distressed to appear tattered from years of wear and is heavily splattered in blue paint to imitate Kaiju blood; however, it remains in good worn condition.
