A Scavenger (Vincent Lee) Costume Lot from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. In the film, a race of monsters known as ‘Kaiju’ terrorizes earth, forcing mankind to build a team of massive robots, called ‘Jaegers,’ to battle the monsters and save the world. Costumes of this style are worn by Hannibal Chau’s black market scavengers who collect the remains of a dead Kaiju in Hong Kong. This lot includes a modified women’s tank top, leather belt necklace, shredded jeans, tool belt with hammer and hook, two decorative belts, thigh-length wader boots, protective goggles, wrist wraps, shovel, and a wicker basket of Kaiju meat.

The scavenger’s tank top consists of two shirts that have been crudely sewn together at the waist, allowing the shirt to be vertically reversible. Below this are a pair of torn Seven7 jeans that are made from 100% cotton and are marked as a size 31 x 34. Both the tank top and the jeans have been heavily distressed with multiple abrasions and holes in the fabric. Worn around the feet are a pair of size 10 waterproof wader boots with a set of straps on each boot, allowing them to be fastened to a belt worn around the waist. This scavenger’s accessories include a wicker basket containing wrapped Kaiju meat bearing a red sticker from Hannibal Chau’s operation, a tool belt containing a meat hook and hammer, and a large scrapping tool. This lot has been production distressed to appear tattered from years of wear and is heavily splattered in blue paint to imitate Kaiju blood; however, it remains in good worn condition.
