Prop Store is proud to present an exclusive offering of ‘The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists’ stop motion puppets, props and set pieces from Aardman and Sony Pictures Animation.

A boat hire hut and props from the London docks, used as during the hilarious scene as Mr Bobo holds the place up to secure a boat for the Pirate Captain (Hugh Grant) and Charles Darwin (David Tennant). The hut is made of worked wood with cast resin and treated fabric used for the hut’s dress up components. The in and out sheets have metal pins pointing upward with faux-paper sheets. The hut and sign are finished in white and blue paint and distressed to look flaked and worn from years spent on the riverside. The pieces remain in overall very good condition with minimal wear from use and time spent in storage.

In The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists, Hugh Grant stars in his first animated role as the luxuriantly bearded Pirate Captain – a boundlessly enthusiastic, if somewhat less-than-successful, terror of the High Seas. With a rag-tag crew at his side and seemingly blind to the impossible odds stacked against him, the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter to the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award. It's a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. Along the way they do battle with the pirate-hating Queen Victoria and team up with a young Charles Darwin, but never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure!
