Prop Store is proud to present an exclusive offering of ‘The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists’ stop motion puppets, props and set pieces from Aardman and Sony Pictures Animation.

A wooden market stall cart from Old London Town, spotted during the scene in which The Pirate Captain (Hugh Grant) is shown down on his luck, selling baby clothes after he loses his pirating license. The cart is made of lightweight wood that has been finished to look gnarled and worn from use. The wheels, finished to replicate the look of wood and rusted metal, are free-spinning on the metal axle. A variety of clothes and wool are present on the top of the cart, made from a mix of cast resin components and woven cotton. The wood components are finished to look like worn, untreated timber with the clothes and wool balls in a variety of pastel colours. The paint finish on the piece remains in very good condition with minimal additional wear from use and time spent in storage.

With a rag-tag crew at his side and seemingly blind to the impossible odds stacked against him, the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter to the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award. It's a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. Along the way they do battle with the pirate-hating Queen Victoria and team up with a young Charles Darwin, but never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure!
