A pair of Classic Predator Gloves from Robert Rodriguez's 2011 sci-fi horror film, Predators. In the film, a group of human warriors are brought to an otherworldly planet where they are hunted by a vicious alien race known as Predators. The classic predator is seen in the movie held captive by his predator brothers and is eventually freed to exact his revenge. These gloves were made for use by the performer portraying the predator.
The gloves are made of foam latex from an original sculpt designed to show the creature’s reptilian skin and fingerless gloves. The pieces have been painted in great detail to show the creature’s skin patterns and worn wardrobe. They are finished with black resin claws on the ends of the fingers, though one on the right hand is missing. The inside of the left hand reads “Classic Pred.” while the inside of the right features the initial “J”, likely referring to Carey Jones, a creature performer who portrayed several characters in the film. The hands feature some wear but remains in good condition.
