A Classic Predator Helmet from Robert Rodriguez's 2011 sci-fi horror film, Predators. In the film, a group of human warriors are brought to an otherworldly planet where they are hunted by a vicious alien race known as Predators. Masks of this style can be seen worn by the Classic Predator who is first seen tied to a pike in the Super Predators’ camp. When he is set free, he picks up his broken helmet from the ground and wears it throughout the final battle.
This helmet is made of urethane rubber, with a layer of fiberglass cloth lining the interior. It is painted grey with small marks to represent battle scars. The urethane is cut on the top and on the side near the eye as though a blast got the best of its previous wearer. Mesh is stretched across to cover the eyes. There is a piece of wire plastered behind the eyes to keep the structure intact. A piece of Velcro lines the upper inside of the helmet, which would have been used to attach the helmet to the Predator’s cowl. The helmet also includes the piece that was removed from the side of the helmet to make the blast mark.
The helmet has some wear due to production use and age. It is in overall great condition.
