A Prototype Classic Predator Zip-Front Upper Torso from Robert Rodriguez's 2011 sci-fi horror film, Predators. In the film, a group of human warriors are brought to an otherworldly planet where they are hunted by a vicious alien race known as Predators. While traversing through the jungle, the humans stumble upon a Predator camp and find a Classic Predator tied to a pike. This prototype suit was created in the concept and development stage of the Classic Predator suit, seen in that camp.
This costume features a body suit made of foam latex, sculpted into a muscular, alien body. It has been painted yellow and orange, with dense black spots covering the back and arms. The body features hand-punched rubber bristles all over the back and shoulders. There is a zipper on the front, and spandex material is connected to the bottom to make leg holes. The final suit, used for the film, featured a different color scheme and the zipper was moved to the back.
There are some cracks in the foam latex due to stretching during production use, and the costume shows wear due to age, but this Prototype Classic Predator Upper Torso is in overall good condition.
