Rectangular Faux Stone Carving With Green Screen Pole

Stock #27080

A large stone tablet depicting a Space Jockey used in the production of the Ridley Scott mystery sci-fi: Prometheus (2012). This style of 'stone' tablet was made for use in the scenes in which the crew are receiving a briefing over the artefacts that have been discovered throughout history, however this particular tablet is not seen in the final production of the film, possibly due to the revealing nature of the image which depicts the 'Engineer' as the instantly recognisable Space Jockey.

The stone displays a Space Jockey pointing to the stars, standing over two humans looking on in awe. There are symbols displayed to the left face of the piece and a craft flying above near a crescent moon. This large prop has been constructed using dense biscuit foam and coated with a resin skin which has been painted a weathered grey with intentional moulded cracks to give the appearance of age and decay. These styled cracks continue to the sides, top and base and rear of the tablet. The base displays a metal pole half painted light green for so it could easily be edited out with 'Green Screen' technology. This impressive prop stone is in very good production used condition and measures 58cm x 41cm x 9cm (22.8” x 16” x 3.5”).
