An SFX rubber blade machete from the production of the 2008 installment to the ‘First Blood’ series: Rambo. After living a quiet life in Thailand, Rambo is hired to ferry a group of missionaries into Burma. When they are reported missing, Rambo joins a group of mercenaries to venture into the warzone and retrieve them from captivity. Rubber machetes were used during the various high-action sequences in which Rambo dismembers his enemies using his self-forged black machete.
Crafted with high detail to resemble Rambo’s weapon of choice, this particular piece features a blade constructed at half-length and is marked by several pieces of colored tape, likely for motion capture and application of CG effects in post. The remainder of the stunt weapon bears a close resemblance to the full sized item with a black grip-taped handle, metallic paint on the blade, and a small black strap for carrying.
This piece shows slight wear from production use, such as some flaking of the paint, but remains in good overall condition.
